Under the right condition the overall treatment time (from placement to delivery of the final restoration) may be reduced to a mimimum of a single day (immediate loading protocol). Impressions for the fabrication of the final restoration are taken right after the implant placement and the patient may have “a tooth” in place on the day of the procedure.
