Porcelain Onlays / Overlays

Full ceramic onlays/overlays are indirect restorations (they involve the use of a dental lab technician) of posterior teeth. Three dental sessions are needed in order to complete the tooth rehabilitation. The rehabilitation process resembles that of the (dental veneers).

Porcelain onlays and overlays are typically chosen in order to restore a tooth, which misses a significant portion of its structure (due to decay, fracture, etc). Due to their staged fabrication they exhibit precise fit and increased strength. Furthermore, the porcelain’s exceptional optical properties guarantee optimal tooth esthetics.
